Ulpiano Carrasco
Spanish painter and sculptor, Ulpiano Carrasco was born in Villanueva de la Jara (Cuenca) in 1961, he began his artistic career in his town at the early age of six; and since then, his interest in that world would not stop.
Even so, he would not be a relevant painter until his participation in Artesantander, exhibiting several times since 1994, getting his name recognized in the art world.
After that, he would make the leap abroad, taking his works to Europe, the Middle East and the United States.
Today, his exhibitions are continuous in countries such as France, England, Belgium, United States (New York, Miami) Singapore, China (Hong-Kong), South Korea (Seoul), Monaco, United Arab Emirates (Dubai), Switzerland (Geneva) and, of course, Spain.
He held his first solo exhibition in Albacete in 1985. In 1994 he participated for the first time in Artesantander. There, and after six consecutive years of participation, his name became popular in the Spanish art scene. He then traveled through Italy, France, England, the East and the United States
In 1999 his work was shown in Paris, New York and Singapore by the Opera Gallery.
His work is represented in the museums of Contemporary Art of Toledo; Caja de Navarra Foundation, Pamplona; Caja Madrid Foundation, Madrid; Banco CCM Foundation, Cuenca; Royal Academy of Fine Arts of San Fernando, Madrid; Antonio Pérez Foundation, Cuenca; Pinilla Crespo Foundation, Cáceres; Museum of Contemporary Spanish Engraving, Marbella (Málaga); Gregorio Prieto Foundation, Valdepeñas (Ciudad Real); Grupo Estévez Collection, Jerez de la Frontera (Cádiz)…
